Privacy Policy
In short: HWT doesn't collect any of your data. There are no accounts, servers, analytics, ads or tracking. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone, and you decide where any copies go.
This policy covers the HWT (Health With Tyler) iPhone app and its home screen widgets. HWT is made by Tyler Jarvis, an individual developer in Perth, Western Australia ("I", "me").
What HWT Stores
HWT keeps what you enter in the app on your iPhone so it can show it back to you. This can include:
- your name, an optional profile photo and an optional quote
- daily check-ins, such as weight, body fat, resting heart rate, sleep, steps, meal plan, lifestyle factors, day status and notes, plus your goals
- habits and when you completed them
- breathwork sessions
- exercises, programs and workouts
- app settings
Some of this is health information. It is stored only on your device and is never sent to me or to anyone else by HWT.
What HWT Doesn't Do
- No account or sign-in.
- No servers: HWT has no online service and doesn't send your data over the internet.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking, and no third-party code that does these things.
- No Apple Health: HWT doesn't read from or write to the Health app.
- Your data is never sold, shared or used to build a profile of you.
Copies You Choose to Make
Some features create copies of your data, always because you asked for them:
- Backups: if you turn on Automatic Backup, or use Back Up Now or Export Backup, HWT writes a backup file to the folder or app you choose, such as iCloud Drive or a network drive. That copy is then handled by the service you chose.
- Exports: exports and backups shared through the iOS share sheet go only where you send them.
- iPhone backups: if you back up your iPhone with iCloud or a computer, iOS may include HWT's data in that backup, under Apple's terms.
Notifications, Widgets and Live Activities
Habit reminders and rest timer alerts are local notifications created on your iPhone. Widgets and Live Activities show information from HWT on your Home Screen, Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. None of this involves sending data anywhere.
Information From Apple
Apple handles App Store downloads, and any future purchases, under its own privacy policy. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, or if you test HWT through TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports and any feedback you send with me. These don't include the data you enter in HWT.
If You Contact Me
If you email me, I'll use your email address and message only to reply to you. I won't add you to a mailing list or share your details.
Deleting Your Data
Deleting HWT from your iPhone deletes all of its data on that device. Any backup files you created stay where you saved them, so delete those too if you want them gone. Because I never receive your data, there is nothing for me to delete on my side.
Children
HWT isn't designed for children, and because the app collects no data, no information about children is collected either.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
